Even at that point, consider only jumping a map at a time and finishing that before moving on. You might want to hold off on "tormenting" yourself until you complete Maps 1 through 10 for the most part. I will try to cover the basics, but this is a true challenge for anybody. Evolved cards begin to be used by opponents quickly as well (well before Map 11, the point when they are first implemented in normal mode). The enemy hero goes up by about 50 levels (up to Level 130 seems to be the max level of enemies) and all their cards will be roughly Level 10 from the beginning.

WARNING: While many of us jumped right in, please be aware of the huge jump in difficulty. Some of the newer cards are specialty drops in addition to drops such as card scraps (Universal 5 Star being the biggest/most important). On the plus side, the rewards are well worth it. This can be a steep ask especially if you are aiming for the 100M gold achievement. In total, you will currently require 15.7 Million Gold just to unlock the 13 torment maps. Map 13 - 3.5M (currently not incorporated into the costs as it does not hold any achievements).

The current "upgrade" costs for each map are the following:

Then you are able to purchase the upgrade for a set amount of gold. To activate torment mode for a map, you must first complete all the of the three star requirements for it.
LIES OF ASTAROTH MAPS UPDATE
As part of Title Update 4, new, harder variants of the maps were introduced known as "Torment Mode." Torment Mode is exclusive currently to the console version and was not implemented in the original, mobile version of the game.
